Kogi, indigenous to Sierra Nevadas Colombia.

The Kogi exist as guardians of nature. They are the “Elder Brothers” born from the Mother in Aluna. They saw several decades ago how the climate was changing and the glaciers melting in the high mountains and sent a timely message out through a BBC film in 1982 – The Elder Brothers Warning.   Since this time they have remained divorced from the “Younger Brother”  – Us.  This is the only indgenous group to have preserved their philosophy and way of life untouched despite 500 years of convulusion by outsiders.  The Kogi are unique in this respect and have a highly evolved intellectual worldview.
